4x21 "Dearest Family"
Oct. 19th, 2021 09:01 pmI've had an epiphany about when this episode is set, though of course that relies on the assumption that a seasonal treat featured in this episode belongs to the same holy day that it's ordinarily eaten in real-life France. Which it might not, since French kids' TV is apparently required to be secular, and that holiday is apparently more Christian than Notre Dame Cathedral or than Christmas itself. And if it is not, then this episode might as well be set at Mardi Gras.

In both places that the example code has skip.titleofstory please substitute your username and a number you haven't used yet; like, my first spoiler bar will have skip.alexseanchai01 and my second will have skip.alexseanchai02. Date: 2021-10-20 04:51 am (UTC)There's gotta be some "a part of the thing is the whole thing" type sympathetic magic going on, of the sort that makes the "use someone's stray hair or nail clipping against them" thing work. Otherwise how did the akumafly settling in the galette bean in the uneaten slice of galette affect Marinette's parents and grandparents at all? I mean, it was through the galette they'd already eaten or at least taken, clearly, but.
Ladybug's powers going haywire has to have terrified Paris. Maybe not much, since it got back to normal pretty quick—direct parallel to Chat Noir's powers going haywire in "Style Queen"—but…
They're so cute with their paper crowns!
